A group of people affiliated with the Aryan Brotherhood, a white supremacist group, have been arrested following an attack against a black disc jockey at a tavern north of Seattle.

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office said that eight people were arrested on charges including assault and hate crimes, according to the Associated Press.

Investigators told the AP that the suspects entered the tavern and attempted to take over the DJ’s equipment before beating him up and stomping on him.

The DJ later received treatment for non life-threatening injuries, including a swollen eye, police said.

The FBI has joined the Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office in investigating the incident.

“The violent behavior directed at members of our community over the weekend simply because of their race is disgusting,” Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary said in a news release.

One of the people arrested was Travis David Condor, who was once arrested and jailed for using a baseball bat to beat a homeless man in Cincinnati, according to the AP.

The AP also reported that Condor was photographed at the white supremacist “Unite the Right” rally in Charlottesville last year, during which counterprotester Heather Heyer was killed after a man drove a car into a group.

That man, James Alex Fields Jr., was convicted Friday of first-degree murder by a Charlottesville jury.
